I currently lead the UX research, design, and copy for an internal sales collateral website and support marketing operations for Accenture Federal Services. Up to this point, I've worked in change management, stakeholder engagement, and IT program management efforts for federal clients. It was these experiences that bred a fascination for experience-driven work, as I've seen firsthand the impact of putting the user at the center of change. In working with federal clients, every mission is rooted in somebody who relies on government services – their end users are people, taxpayers, you, me. I haven't been able to let this part of me go, so I also spend time as a UX advisor for a federal financial services IT modernization program.
Practicing UX and product management in both the sales and delivery side of strategy consulting has given me the privilege of cultivating a unique skillset and approach to product development. I operate with the mindset that technology choices must be considered in the context of the customer and the experience an organization intends to create – if experience design is not embraced and the emphasis shifts onto the technology or delivery approaches, solutions get delivered, but do they really transform? And do they transform in a way that is flexible and adaptable for tomorrow's people?
My existing case studies revolve around things I love and have spent most of my time around – music, cooking, and community – and I'll find ways for future projects to ignite the same affection or enrichment since this produces my best work. I spend a lot of time in self-study in UX research, currently focusing on survey design and user interactions with agentic AI.
I was born and bred in Chicago but grew up with a family from New York City, so I've had the privilege of calling both cities home (I will admit to preferring New York style pizza over deep dish, but the Hudson River has nothing on the Chicago lakefront). Outside of my work, I enjoy acrylic painting, reading about music history over coffee, walking through Central Park, learning new songs on bass, making dinner with friends, hanging out with my cat.
